Edit Photo Error in iPhone 16 Pro Max 18.1

Does anyone know why there is an error message after you try to save an edited photo on the iPhone 16 Pro Max? Ever since I updated to iOS 18.1, I’ve been receiving an error message when editing photos I take outdoors. The message reads: “There was an error in saving this photo. Please try again later.” Please advise, thank you.

Yup - I have the same on my iPhone 16 pro. Was reading other users believe it’s an issue with the photographic styles feature. One workaround is to duplicate the image as a still image - but I still get the same error even with that!

sort it out Apple!

Yes, it looks like the issue has been resolved now. So far I’ve tested making edits to photos I’ve taken indoors. Now I have to test the edit option when I take photos outdoors, because it seems like I was able to make edits as soon as I took the photo outdoors, but if I waited a while, then decided to make edits to an outdoor photo at a later time, the error message would pop up too. I understand now, because when you hike deep into the woods connection can get lost sometimes. Thank you for the update. 😊
