Email Is Closed - Can It Be Re-opened?

This is for my son. He made an icloud.com email some years back and used it for his Activision account. Now he is trying to access his Activision account but the email is not accessible at all and seems to have been closed. Is there any way to get it back for him? He also doesn't know the password. I can't find help on the Activision side of things so I'm here now hoping someone can lend some solid/good advice. Thanks in advance.
