Request support of multiple conditions Home automations

Hello,

I'm posting this to request an improvement of Home App on the support of multiple-condition automation. Also, I'd like to see how many people can relate. I'd like to request the following features to be added to Home App:

  1. Support multi-conditions when creating an automation. Let us add more than 1 condition as trigger, joined by AND/OR. For example, I want to set: Turn on the light, WHEN a.All my lights are off; AND b.My security door alarm is on ready; AND c.my home door is unlocked.
  2. Support a scene activation as a condition when creating automation. Let us created a 'Sleep' scene and use it as a preliminary condition. For example, let us create: Turn on the light, WHEN a.Sleep scene is activated. AND b.my home door is unlocked.
  3. Support multi-conditions with advanced logic. Let me set: Turn on the night lights, WHEN a.All my lights are off; AND (b.Bedroom1 motion sensor detects motion. OR c.Bedroom2 motion sensor detects motion.)

All the hub and their APP I've used support way more advanced automations than Apple Home App. I don't know what the reason is behind this but I'm sure it's gotta be something that Apple doesn't want to tell (definitely not because of technical difficulties).

Hope in the future we can do all these in Home App instead of using hubs from other brands to relay!

Hey y'all! I'm here to say I actually blamed Apple wrong. The Home App actually can achieve all the logical I described in my original post! Here I wanted to document it so it can help everyone who sees this!

Trick: Apple Home App automation supports "Convert to Shortcuts" as action!

So to achieve the logic: Turn on the light, WHEN a.All my lights are off; AND b.My security door alarm is on ready; AND c.my home door is unlocked.

We can create this automation:

  1. Condition: runs when my home door is unlocked.(Serve as a preliminary condition to trigger the whole thing)
  2. Do: run a shortcut.
  3. In the shortcut, we apply our lateral logic. Here we create:

IF:Get Home status: All my lights are OFF.

IF: My security alarm is on ready.

Turn on the light.

OTHERWISE:

(Do nothing.)

ENDIF

OTHERWISE:

(Do nothing.)

ENDIF.

Hope this can help!
