MacOS Sonoma stuck at downloading
I force restarted my MacBook Air, however, it's been over a day (over 24 h) and still stuck at the same position. Any advice?

It messed up my keyboard. Apparently since my MacBook Air is from 2018, it couldn’t stand the update and something went wrong with the hard drive. In addition to getting messages that my hard drive is damaged, as mentioned, my keyboard and mouse pad are out too. Connected the laptop to an external keyboard and mouse, went through safe mode re installing back to the previous version and did some check ups on the hard drive too, although it finds it all normal, again, my hard drive and keyboard and mouse pad are damaged. So now I got a laptop that can’t be updated, with broken keyboard and mouse pad, using it in this state until it does fully, or to my surprise, apple Canada may invite me in Victoria BC to gift me a brand new MacBook Air 😅
Stop the install process, and then, boot up your Mac in Safe Mode. Then try update/upgrade again.
