A few months ago, I removed the background from some of my photos by using an option with Preview to remove background
I am trying to do the same again, and it would seem that the option has been removed from Preview
Is there another method for removing the background from a photo?

When I open a photo in Photos and use the command "Image > Edit with > Preview", there is still a menu entry in Preview "Tools > Remove background". Have you looked at the Tools menu, Jerry?
My version of macOS is newer than yours. Perhaps this option will be back for you, when you update your system.
Can anybody offer any help on the above?
I have found a method via Pages but it is a little convoluted

I think my software is the latest version but, yes, I can now see that option in Preview. Not sure why it wasn't there before!
