iCloud Pages not saving changes

Hello,

I created a new Pages document and typed all my text. Document was saved to my iCloud account where I have plenty of storage space remaining. Came back to the document later to find that that only part of the document was saved. This was all in Google Chrome in Windows 10.

Opened the same document in Safari on iPad Air M2 - same problem, only part of the document was saved.

Can anyone tell me what is going on? I need to be able to use Pages on several platforms so saving and syncing is kind of important.
