Restoring colorful app icons on the Home Screen after iOS update

After a recent update all of my icons were very colorful (See picture below), then another update took that away. How can I get back the colorful icons like in the picture below? I think maybe some colors were just inverted, but I am not sure. I like that way it looked though and would love to go back to that. Thanks in advance.

I figured it out. All you have to do is this:

You can also customize the color of your app icons on the Home Screen:

Touch and hold the Home Screen background until the icons jiggle.
Tap Edit at the top of the screen.
Choose Customize.
Select a mode for the icons and background: Automatic, Dark, or Light. (I chose Dark)
