Unable to add my 13 year old son to Apple Card

I was trying to add my son a just turned 13 today to my Apple Card and it won’t let me click next when putting in his name and date of birth. Can someone help me with that?

Sure what country are you and your son in? You should also be aware that while Apple allows use of Apple Wallet, Apple Pay and Apple Cash (currently US only), at 13, your bank and government may have more restrictive regulations that prohibit your son’s use.

I am in California US and Apple says I can add him to my card at 13

You’ll need to contact Apple Support and update his Apple ID to 13. It has to be voice contact with a parent or guardian over 18. Please contact Apple Support at 1-800-MY-APPLE.
