“New Event” has no title in iPad Pro calendar

A little over a year ago I decided to begin moving from Android to Apple’s OS, and bought an iPad Pro 12.9 to initiate the transition. About two months ago I purchased an iPhone 16 Pro to start transitioning from my Android phone to the iPhone. The rep at the Apple store, where I purchased my iPhone, moved everything from my Android to my new iPhone. Some days later, I saw thousands of entries in my Apple calendar that were named “New Event” but none of them are recurring events nor is there a Title when you try to edit the “New Event”. Subsequently, I would have to physically delete over 10,000 of these “ghost” events individually. I called Apple support but they couldn’t resolve this issue.

Has anyone ever experienced this, and if so, were you able to delete these en masse, or did you find another solution?

TIA….Mark

On iPhone and iPad, the Calendar app can use multiple calendars. They are usually using different colors to differentiate them.

Do you have any real events in the calendar (ie same "color") that shows the "New Event" events? What is the name of the calendar associated with the color of the "New Event" events? On the iPhone you can find out by tapping "Calendars" at the bottom of the screen in Calendars.
