Recently, can't send iPhone photos to email

I have an iPhone13 mini and I am on the operating system 18.0.1. I have always been able to send my iPhone photos from my iPhone to my email up until recently.

Now, the system allows me to choose my photos from my iPhone, scroll down to MAIL and then allows me to enter my email and allows me to choose from the various sizes and ultimately allows me to send the photos. Although it appears as if they have been sent the email is never received and the phone is not making that " SWISH " sounds it usually makes when they are sent.

Bottom line, is the email is never received in my email. They are not in my Junk mail nor has anything changed within my email. I am sending and receiving emails as per normal.

Puzzled ???
