Siri Isn't Functional

2019 MacBook Air with Intel chip, running Sonoma 14.7. Siri will not function. I have confirmed that I am connected to the network, Ask Siri is on, Listen for "Hey Siri" is on, Allow Siri when locked is on, keyboard shortcut is set up. I can't click on Siri, Siri won't answer when I speak. The keyboard shortcut does nothing. I have restarted the computer. Still nonfunctional.

What else can I do?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 14.7

Add the Siri button to the menu bar: System Settings->Control Center->Menu Bar Only: Siri: Show in Menu Bar

If you click the Siri button, do you get the Siri chime and the Siri icon at the top right of the screen or not?

Try restarting in Safe Mode. Does Siri work there? If it works in Safe Mode but not when booted normally, there is some third party software blocking it. Do you have any "antivirus" or "cleaner"? Please run Etrecheck and post its full report here. Use the "additional text" button and paste the report into the text box.
