Inconsistent 'subscription' terminology for iCloud storage

Apple used the word "subscription" FIVE times in my email that my icloud storage "subscription" is expiring. then i go to my phone to remedy the issue, and it says i have "no subscriptions". Really? Apple should have a glossary of Apple terms and stick with their definitions across all media and all platforms. Otherwise it is confusing, irritating, frustrating, then infuriating for the customer trying to keep icloud storage.
