Japanese vs US Keyboard Shortcuts

i've got a deal on a 32/1TB MBP 14 inch but the catch is that it has a Japanese Layout, and i've wondering, with the changes in key placements, do keyboard shortcuts (atleast apple universal ones) change accordingly or not. Like the new shortcuts for window tiling Control + FN + Shift + Direction, like do they expect me to use the globe key on literally the other side of the map.
