Apple Intelligence brings incredible new features across iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Apple Intelligence & Siri is not an available option, hence the title of my post "Apple Intelligence Not Visible After Update". My device type, location and language settings all meet the requirements that apple has published as a requirement. I have over 700 GB of available storage and in my settings it does not show "Apple Intelligence & Siri" as an option for selection. I only have "Siri" in Settings.
Anyone have any *NEW* ideas when all criteria has been met.

Yes I can confirm it does not appear in Settings ---> Siri. Additionally there is no Settings ----> Apple Intelligence & Siri option available. Apple intelligence isnt anywhere on my ipad
Apple Intelligence will be available when your device language and Siri language are set to a US English.
To request activation of Apple Intelligence after you update to iOS 18.1, go to Settings, tap Apple Intelligence & Siri, then tap Join the Apple Intelligence Waiting List. Apple Intelligence is currently estimated to be available for activation within a few hours of joining the waiting list, though wait times may vary. You will receive a notification as soon as it is ready to be activated on your iPhone. On-device Apple Intelligence models will begin to be downloaded after activation.

For info and clarity for other readers, the new iPad mini (A17 Pro - not M-Series), does support Apple Intelligence.

I checked, It is an iPad Air 5th gen with 45 GB of storage remaining and IOS 18.1 . I live in Wisconsin and the iPad’s language is set to English, Siri replicates the same setting choice. Still I can’t see Apple intelligence even tho I completely reset to factory settings my iPad.
If you are in the US and your iPad meets the minimum requirements - and the problem persists - you would be best advised to seek assistance directly from Apple Support using the Support link at top-right or bottom-left of this page.
Alternatively, you can initiate and manage your support cases from Apple devices using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

Not my post, but I have a pro 12.9 inch 4th gen iPad that has plenty of memory, installed 18.1, and have everything set to U.S. and was purchased from Apple directly here in the U.S. with no Intelligence. Both iPhone and Mac installed with no problem so I'm familiar with the process.

Presumably you have a fifth generation iPad Air (a.k.a. iPad Air5). You can verify your model number in iPad settings:
Settings > General > About > Model Name
Here are Apple's published System Requirements for access to Apple Intelligence features. If not in the US, pay particular attention to the countries where Apple Intelligence is available - and the two key settings (outlined within the linked support page) required to enable the feature:

Supported languages: Apple Intelligence is available in English (US) in most regions around the world. In December, Apple Intelligence will add support for English (Australia), English (Canada), English (Ireland), English (New Zealand), English (South Africa), and English (UK). Over the course of the next year, Apple Intelligence will expand to more languages, like Chinese, English (India), English (Singapore), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, and others.
After you have turned on Apple Intelligence, it will continue to work when you travel to other regions around the world.
For European Union residents: Apple Intelligence is available with macOS Sequoia 15.1 on supported Mac models. For iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1, Apple Intelligence will not currently work if you are in the EU and if your Apple Account Country/Region is also in the EU. If traveling outside of the EU, Apple Intelligence will work on your iPhone or iPad if your language and Siri language are set to a supported language.
For China residents: Apple Intelligence will not currently work for supported devices purchased in China mainland. For supported devices purchased outside of China mainland, Apple Intelligence will not currently work if you are in China mainland and if your Apple Account Country/Region is also in China mainland.
When Apple Intelligence is available in the EU or China mainland, previously purchased devices that support Apple Intelligence will be able to activate and use it in that region.

I’m following this as I have the same problem. It works perfectly on my iPhone and Mac, but just says Siri on my iPad. I meet all qualifications and have the space. Updated to 18.1 but no intelligence options at all. Can’t find a solution anywhere yet.

Your iPad does NOT have a M1 Chip. It has an A12Z Bionic chip with 64-bit architecture. No iPad which doesn't have an M1 Chip will be capable of running Apple Intelligence. The first iPad with the M1 chip was iPad Pro 5th Generation. Sorry.

Unless you own an iPad with a M1 Chip, which means iPad Pro 5th Generation or newer, or iPad Air 5 or newer, your iPad is not eligible for Apple Intelligence.
I forgot about the new iPad Mini.
In the case of the author for this thread, they suggest they have an iPad Pro 3rd Generation and must be under the impression it has a M1 Chip, which it doesn't. iPad Pro 3rd Generation has A12X Bionic chip with 64-bit architecture
So they can't use Apple Intelligence on that iPad.
I have an IPad Air 5th generation with the M1 chip in it and I can’t see apple intelligence next to Siri. When I look up on the search bar ( in settings) i can see “ apple intelligence and Siri chat gpt set up “ but when I click on it doesn’t do anything.

Apple Intelligence is a subcategory inside of the Siri setting. Can you confirm it still doesn’t appear in the general Siri settings menu?
