Final Cut Pro subtitles change size and position when I export.

I'm trying to make a lyric video of a song. I have all the subtitles placed and formatted as I want them, but when I export for YouTube, many titles are shrunk and repositioned. Is there a way to burn them in so they stay in the same place upon export?

Yes, these are titles. Thank you for the screenshots, they do help clarify.

Your project is Vertical, and your Viewer is scaled up so that what you are seing is not the whole frame - on your last screenshot, note the small rectangle on the right side, with a red area in the middle.

The tall little rectangle is the whole frame, and the red part in the middle indicates the part that you are currently viewing.

If you go to the little menu at the top of the viewer and choose Fit (instead of the percentage that is showing there), you will see the whole frame. I am thinking that this does agree with what you see on export.

If you did not mean to make a vertical project, this can be fixed without having to redo all the work.

Are you talking about subtitles or captions? There are similar, but very different entities.

Subtitles are embedded in the video and as such there is no way they'd be moved around, since they will be pixels, no longer text.

Captions, on the other hand, are usually exported as a separate text file, and its display is heavily dependent on the device or program that plays the video.

Could you clarify? Perhaps tell us exactly how you are exporting, and maybe show a screenshot of your timeline, to make sure we are on the same page.
