Screen Time requests going to email rather than phone

When my kids ask for extra screen time, the request is sent via iMessage to both my wife and me. Problem is it’s sent to my phone number (so I see it and can approve) but for some reason it’s sent to my wife’s email (the one associated with her iCloud account) and she never sees it. We want both of us to get an iMessage in case I’m not around. Does anybody know how to fix it? I’ve spent hours looking into this and can’t find how to change the notification for my wife. Thank you in advance.
