Error 79 .

I was trying to unzip a file but I always got this "Error79 - Inappropriate file type or format."

Tried a few solutions including

Unzip in Terminal:

1. Open Terminal.
2. Type unzip and a space, then drag/drop the zip file into the Terminal window.
3. Press Enter and the zip file will be unzipped, storing all files on your computer.

But it said that the file was corrupted. I knew the file was not corrupted so there has to be some other reason.

After doing some research on these forums no one seemed to find a clear solution, however for me it was pretty simple. Turns out that the ZIP file was made in Windows.

Downloaded the file on Windows and used RAR. Problem solved, file unzip, no problem.
