iMac running slow

I have a 9 year old iMac that is running slow, freezes often and sometimes shuts down on its own. Attached is the EtreCheck Report that I ran. It has 2 TB of memory but only 283 GB available. I just used Time Machine and it took 18 hours to run the backup. It is running Monterey 12.7.6 Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Using Find Any File as you suggested I was able to find the files and delete them. I also checked to make sure my waste basket was empty. I also deleted some more files from my hard drive. I then restarted my computer. Computer is still slow with the spinning wheel at times. It also randomly shut down once since the restart. Anything else you can recommend?? I appreciate your help.

Thanks for your help. Still working on transferring photos onto an external drive so there will be more storage. In an unrelated question, a two years ago I partitioned my older external hard drive and now would like to remove the partition, is there a way to do it without losing what is already on the one partition? The other partition is empty
