Creating new playlists and editing playlist titles in Music

I have been finding it increasingly difficult and now impossible to create new playlists or edit the titles of existing playlists in Music.

Sometimes when I try to add songs to a playlist I've "created" - using the right click and Add to Playlist option on the songs I've chosen - it lets me do so even though the playlist is not shown in the left hand window.
