Junk Mail and Blocked Senders - Fix It Already!

Ok Apple Mail programmers.

Here is a question: If I have a list of blocked senders; I believe I'm up into the 500s now, WHY is it still reaching my email account? On average it's about 40 a day.

Here is a solution: Use "Apple Intelligence"; ingest users Block Sender List; bounce the SPAM back to the sender without delivery into the JUNK mailbox.

This has been a plague in Apple Mail for some time. ONE would think that with increasing user frustration it would be a High Priority for Apple and the Mail program developers to address.

Maybe I'm placing too much faith in Apple to do the right thing ...

If you're getting that much junk you should check your mail provider's settings and make sure that your spam filters are set at the right level. I can block by domain on mine, although it's a bit drastic. Most of the junk that I'm getting at the moment looks like it's from a bot-network because it's identical McAfee phishing from a range of legit-looking addresses. It's a never ending battle because some registrars let them auto-create random domains.

You could write a rule to bin it. I've been getting loads of McAfee phishing and I don't run McAfee so I just wrote a rule to delete mails based on the subject keywords.
