apple mail search not working

Apple really living up to their planned obsolescence reputation on iPhone now on Mac as well. We gotta keep updated the device, otherwise, their support will continuously argue the issue you are expiring is because is not updated, but when you update to new OS, new issues arise and refuse to offer solutions leaving you with only one option, buy a new updated device. Is it really that hard to allow an outdated devices to complete a basic task like searching in the email app... smh.
