How to remove number now preceding moved bulk music tracks.

Mac OS Big Sur. Music Version 1.2.6 37.

After adding over 14,000 songs to Apple Music (V.16.37) I became paranoid about losing them all to a computer glitch. So I decided to transfer all the files to a Seagate 2TB removable hard drive, just in case.

I had about 70% of the music files sorted alphabetically, and had rated (1-5) stars each one.

The transfer took some time, and when it was completed I found, to my horror, that:

ALL of the 14,000 titles were now preceded by a number -which completely destroys the alphabetical listings.

I understand that i am now going to re-rate every track. Any ideas regarding how to return the track names to just letters, would be appreciated.
