Music - Can you still display by genre like iTunes

I just converted from a 2011 Mac Mini using iTunes to a 2023 Mini with Music. In iTunes, Genre was a category under library - the one I almost always used. Click that, and you get a column of genres, select a genre and the next column is artists with music in that genre, click an artist and you see albums, click an album and you see the songs. Is there any way to do that in Music?

I see if I click Songs under Libray, there's a genre column, but that just lists every song sorted by genre -not what I'm looking for.

See "edit" by library on the left? It hides unless your cursor is there. You can toggle on or off the visibility of various descriptors....I made my own genres through the "info" on each file...very tedious task. I also spelt things wrong so if anyone knows how to delete the listed options in the "info" areas please let me know lol

That helps - I now have genres under library. I still wish it worked like iTunes - click the genre you want, it gives a list of artists with albums in that genre, click the artist and it lists the albums, click the album it lists the tunes. But this is a definite improvement.

I wonder if you are looking for the Column Brower? It is an option within the Songs view of the library or any playlist that is being viewed as songs. View > Show Column Browser.

View > Show Filter Field displays the more familiar search box at the top right. Sadly this is not a sticky option.
