CarPlay appears but all the sound plays through the guidance speaker in my car

Recently just updated my iPhone too 18.0.1. Before that was able to use Apple CarPlay without any issues. Since the update, CarPlay does appear but all the sound plays through the guidance speaker in my car. I’m unable to turn the main volume up or down, nor listen to normal radio and use navigation. Totally not working properly, compared to before the update.

I’ve hard reset the phone.

Deleted the car from CarPlay.

What next? Anyone else had this issue.
