How do I remove the Apple Music app as the default music player on MacBook Sequoia?

How do I remove the Apple Music app as the default music player on MacBook (Sequoia)? Every time I download or click on a music file my macbook now opens and runs that app. Could not figure out how to return my mac to its previous state.
