Ken Burns and Apple love affair

Apple updates IMovie a few months ago and now you cant disable Ken Burns effect in “magic movie” mode? Why is Apple always forcing this God awful effect on everyone? Version 3.0.3. Does anyone actually like this effect? It ruins any photo or layout 99.9999999% of the time.

The purpose of Magic Movie is to allow the consumer user to create a quick movie without having to manually exercise a lot of editing choices. So the choices are minimal and the program makes choices for the user. Users who prefer more control over editing choices are better served by creating a regular iMovie where there is more flexibility.

As for Apple’s decision to apply Ken Burns to Magic Movie without an option to disable, that is Apple’s call. Some people like it, some don’t. We on this forum have no input into Apple’s software decisions. To contact Apple directly Google “Apple Feedback” and post on that website.
