I have a 2015 iMac. Why can't I upgrade to Ventura or the Latest macOS?

I have a 2015 iMac, I have a 4 ghz quad core Intel 17, 16GB 1867 MHZ DDr3, AMD Radeon R9 Graphics, 27" computer with Monterey 12.7.6.

Why can't I upgrade to Ventura OS or the Latest OS?

Because Apple requires you to have a 2017 iMac to upgrade to Ventura 13.7 and a 2019 or later iMac to upgrade to Sonoma 14.7 or Sequoia 15.


macOS Ventura is compatible with these computers - Apple Support

macOS Sonoma is compatible with these computers - Apple Support

macOS Sequoia is compatible with these computers - Apple Support


No Apple employees participate in these fellow user-supported communities, and we are not the ones who set the above hardware restrictions.
