Amazon Alexa function „drop in“ on Homepods?

Hi, we are living in a 3 stories row house and are using Alexas to communicate. We use announcements but also very often „drop ins“. An announcement seems to be similar to Apple‘s intercom. But it seems Apple does not have the drop in feature? Or am I missing something?

A drop in opens up a 2 way communication between two devices, lile you are talking on the phone.
