How to change greyed out weekend dates in iCal

This is more-so a solution for a question I couldn't figure out before, if anyone has similar issues! The greyed out weekend days are based on your Region, which for me was automatically set to Qatar (Fri & Sat weekends) whereas my weekend days are Sat & Sun.

To fix this issue:

Go to Calendar Settings > General > and make sure Start week on = System Setting
Then go to System Settings > Language & Region > and make sure your correct Region is selected

Hope this helps someone with the same issue I had!
