Reminders creates multiple instances of same reminder on calendar

I recently downloaded iOS 18, which allows me to view Reminders that I created in Calendar app. I have recurring reminders that I created in the reminder app. Those reminders create multiple instances of the same reminder on the days that I selected for them to be due. Also, the reminders have different color checkmarks. Some are yellow, and some are blue. I only want to see one reminder on the Calendar app, how do I fix this?
