Mac Sequoia, Screen Flickering every few minutes

The problem seems to be with the external monitor compatibility so upgrading Mac OS probably won’t resolve the issue. What make and model is your external monitor, maybe the manufacturer has some suggestions?

I’ve been doing all the updates and what I have noticed with the latest 3 or so is that after the first day it settles down

also ‘flickering’ is not the right term now - what is actually happening is images on the second monitor get moved to the main monitor which thrn goes blank reappears then those images get replaced

2000 M1 here. My screen does a little "jump" every few seconds. It doesn't go black or grey, no strange borders, etc., everything stays the same with that little jump. No clue what the problem is or how to fix it.

Tried different resolutions on the external.

Me too, after macOS 15.3 update my iMac M1 screen flickering every 2 hours 30 minutes since January 30th.

Same issue here on macbook air m2

Me too with the MacBook Pro M2 and two external BENQ screens, connected via daisy chain all 3 scenes, the background are black for a second.

Same here on Mac Studio M1 Max

Same for me, 2021 M1 MBP. Seems to happen independent of any app in particular or none at all.

with the update to 15.0.1 the frequent is no lower but not gone

Me too, Mac mini M1, with macOS Sequoia 15.0.1, no add os... just flickering screen. Extremely annoying
