When I use the Notes app to scan documents, the resulting PDF files are significantly larger after iOS 18 update

I hope this message finds you well. I would like to report an issue I have encountered after updating to iOS 18. When I use the Notes app to scan documents, the resulting PDF files are significantly larger compared to when I used the same feature in iOS 17. This change in file size has become problematic, as the large PDFs take up more storage space and are harder to share.

In iOS 17, the PDF files were more manageable in size, but since upgrading to iOS 18, the same types of scans now produce files that are unnecessarily large. I believe this may be related to changes in file compression or scan quality in the new version.

Could you please look into this issue and provide a fix or an option to control the file size and compression quality when scanning documents in the Notes app? I would appreciate any assistance or updates regarding this matter.
