How to fix password import errors on Apple passwords?

I had this same issue. I was able to solve it. I exported my Apple passwords to see the structure of the CSV. I modified my Keeper export to match the same structure with the same columns headers, and it worked. The structure and headers are:

Title,URL,Username,Password,Notes,OTPAuth

So while I would expect after picking the CSV the Passwords app would ask what columns are related to what fields, it seems that you just have to have your CSV match Apple's format.

Yes, that's what I did. I opened the CSV in numbers, moved the columns around, and then re-exported as a CSV. Then when I imported that CSV it worked perfectly. Keeper didn't have column titles, so you'll have to add a row at the top also and put in the titles in the order I put them in my post above.

I had the same problem. I got the .CSV file from 1Password and then edited it using Numbers to remove some things Apple Passwords doesn't like.

The problem is that in exporting from numbers to CSV, it used semi-colons (;) to separate the values instead of commas.

I used a textedit tool to find and replace all (;) to (,) and then the import went through fine.

(I had to delete 2 passwords that use ;)

Can I just rearrange the columns from the Keeper CSV export and then try to reimport into Passwords app?
