Calendar App Locks Me Out of my Calendars Everyday

Everyday when I open my apple calendar app I am met with a locked image and a message that says:

“This app does not have access to your calendars. You can enable access in your settings.”

However, when I open my settings I can clearly see that my calendars do have access. The only way to regain access is to shut my phone off and turn it back on again. Then the app works fine.

This happened after updating my iOS on my iPhone.
