How do you turn off Face ID on a Mac my late son’s face is still on there

Hello my son just passed last month and his Face ID is there for his Mac he added my finger print for his iPhone and iPad but we need to access his Mac thank you

MacBook Air 15″, macOS 14.6

Sorry to hear about your son, kg1429.. Face ID is for iPhones , maybe iPads but hasn’t come to desktop Macs… YET.. that being said, here’s how you can access his Mac in this situation:
