GarageBand SPPI?

What is SPPI or SPP1 in GarageBand? It shows it in the left hand column above the "search sounds" field and underneath the person-with-a-mic icon. I've asked in internet searches, Apple support, and the general Apple community, but there are no documented answers to my question. Thank you, in advance, for your answer to this question.
