Yes, but how do I run a script written in the Shortcuts app from Homekit?

I have tried writing shortcuts in the Home Automation Shortcuts UI. To be blunt it is probably the worst UI that I have encountered in a long career of programming. What I would like to do until the miracle happens is to write a shortcut in the shortcuts app, where it is presented in a clean and intelligible way, and can be tested straightforwardly.

Then, when I have the shortcut written and tested, to be able to call it from a Home Automation trigger.

Unfortunately there seems to be a Berlin Wall between Home and Shortcuts.

Will the Home shortcuts interface improve in MacOS 18 / iOS 18, or are we doomed forever to work a sub-standard implementation?

Rather than directing me to Home, show me how to connect a Shortcut Shortcut to a Home Automation.

Many thanks.
