Locked out of MacBook

I’m a student using a brand-new MacBook purchased in June 2024. A few days ago, I was sitting in my 8 am class logging into my computer and it kept saying my password was wrong over and over again. I blamed it at first on my tiredness, but this has been going on for the last 3 days now and my Mac says my account is locked. I’m looking for a way to reset my password, as there is no Apple technicians in my area.
