GarageBand Audio region suddenly fades out at 25 min / 750 bars

I am recording my voice in GarageBand for a podcast on MacOS Sonoma 14.5. The voice suddenly trails off at 25 min (750 bars). There is nothing wrong with the mic. If I move the region earlier on the track, more of the audio I recorded can be heard. It again just starts to fade out until there is no volume starting at 750 bars. So from my tests, it appears to have to do with the length.

Visually, there are 877 bars available. So it's not that GarageBand is stopping my ability to record at 750 bars. The recording is there and continues to play, but the sound just suddenly drops off.

I have restarted my computer. I have uninstalled and reinstalled GarageBand. No change. Any idea what might be going on?
