How to recover the password of Numbers file when Face ID isn't working?

I use an numbers that I unlock through Face ID. I do not remember the password and cannot reset it. I already checked in saved passwords, but it’s not there. As I am able to unlock the file with FaceId I was wondering if there is a way to recover to password?

To double check, is the spreadsheet “Locked” or “Password Protected”? If it’s locked, anyone can actually unlock it and there are a few ways you can go about it. One way is on a Mac, open the spreadsheet. In the Menu Bar under Arrange, click Unlock (or click Lock if that is the only option). This will bring a prompt asking if you want to unlock the spreadsheet.

If the spreadsheet is password protected, then you need the password. Unfortunately, there is no way around that. Passwords aren’t saved in the Settings or Safari Password areas.
