Selecting non-contiguous text in notes

In Apple Notes on my M3 MacBook Pro, I am trying to select multiple headings to change the font and color all at the same time. I tried using the command key and selecting, but that isn't working. It works in Pages, but not notes. Is there another way to select text that isn't contiguous?
