Numbers on iCloud data rolled back one month

I make extensive use of Numbers, virtually run my whole business' accounting on Numbers on iCloud for the past couple of years.

I just realised that something was missing but at first thought that maybe I have deleted two rows by mistake.

Fortunately I make use of a lot of cross referencing and was then able to determine that of my last updates that I did on 16 August 2024 is missing and I was able to determine that my file is back as it was on 17 July 2024.

What could have caused this? My immediate logical explanation to myself is that my data on iCloud was restored back to a version taken on 17 July 2024. Is this possible? Has anybody else experienced something similar?

I have now done some work on this file today and I fear that if this problem can be resolved and I get my data back it is going to wipe out what I have done today and anything since 16 August.
