formula error

I am trying to get an average on a column of numbers. There are some blank spaces so I can add another number daily. when I enter the formula and highlife the cells I want to use I get an error symbol that is a red triangle with a exclamation point in the center with no explanation.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 14.1

Perhaps you could post a screenshot of what you are seeing. shift-command-4, drag to select area, release, start new post here and use the mountains-and-moon 'Image insertion' icon beneath the compose window to insert the screenshot image from the Desktop.


I tried what you described and it's working as expected here, no errors:
