Link to Document in Numbers

After an hour I have resolved why insert link is greyed out. So to insert a link I now know is not 'insert' but format. I want to link to a document/pdf but it is not possible. My only options are to write a email????, link to webpage or another sheet. So shall I conclude that this isn't possible? Thanks. Everything that was easy in micro am still finding impossible with mac :( even sticking an emoji in

Numbers does not allow links to files or to cells in other spreadsheets. If you store your files online where you can create html sharing links to them, you can link to them there. You can't link to cells in other spreadsheets, though.

Microsoft Excel works on a Mac. If you are familiar with it and it does what you need while Numbers does not, use Excel.
