iTunes move from Windows to Mac

I was using a windows 10 PC for web browsing and to house my itunes library. The PC has died and I'm contemplating a swap to a Mac, likely a refurbished one. The PC is completely backed up on an external Seagate hard drive. So my questions, will iTunes work better on a Mac, and will the Mac read the backup to allow me to import my music library?

How to copy iTunes music to transfer to new computer? My old computer has El Capitan. My new computer has Catalina. My old computer is failing and will not connect to new computer to migrate the file so have to do it manually. I do have an external back up computer but music is in iTunes which will not open in Catalina. Have to copy somehow to a CD or stick or external drive without copying it as iTunes. Transferring old iTunes to new Music My old computer, a 2015 MacBook Pro running High Sierra, has my loaded iTunes. I want to transfer it (along with all the playlists and any info) into Music on my "new" 2021 14" MacBook Pro. Can someone school on how to? Thanks.

I am trying to get my iTunes Music Library off of an old hard drive. The laptop that it is from no longer works so I cant use iTunes to export the music to my new computer. How do I find the files that contain the music library and how do I import them into iTunes on my new computer? The hard drive that contains the files is from a Windows laptop.
