Boot Camp: Have been googling and experimenting for days: Boot Camp: Windows cannot locate the disk and partition

I have been googling and experimenting for days. No matter what I do to install Windows 10, I get the infamous error in the title. I'm using a 2019 27" running Sonoma (fully updated).

Here are some of the things I have tried:

  • Verifying that the OSXRESERVED partition exists, and has all the files.
  • Downgrading to Catalina.
  • Modifying AutoUnattend.xml to specify disk 0 partition 4 (verified in # diskutil list).
  • Removing disk information from AutoUnattend.xml.
  • Removing the AutoUnattended.xml file. This causes Windows setup to not recognize my drive even though I specify the Apple SSD driver from $WindowsSupport$.
  • Installing to the Boot Camp partition via a USB drive created using the Windows Media Creation tool (in VMWare Fusion).
  • Completely deleting all partitions (including the 200MB EFI partition) using a Gparted live boot USB, and then installing Windows from USB (creating an NTFS partition that uses the entire disk and a blank, unpartitioned disk).

And every conceivable combination of the above. Of course, not all combinations are possible, but I've tried those that are possible.

Can anybody please help?
