I have a Cinema Display that I've been using for about a year, and periodically the front camera just doesn't turn on. It's can resolve it via rebooting the computer with the display attached, but since I usually discover the issue just as I join a video call for work, it's very frustrating. How can I debug this?

Could be a worn out cable/dongle - try replacing one or both, might do the trick.
