Apple Music crashes when synching iPhone

I'm experiencing a bug that was previously solved in iTunes for Windows, but now seems to have popped back up with Apple Music.

As soon as my local music library reachesa treshold of around ~65-70gb I start having issues with music synching.

  1. After backing up the synchronization starts, but when it finally starts copying files after a few hundred the application "times out" and crashes. The latest update only made this crash happen faster.
  2. The files that are copied are more often then not corrupted
  3. Some files are being copied over and over

I've been experiencing this for years now, with an iPhone 6+, 7+ and 8+ and most recently with my iPhone XS 256gb.

Originally I was able to "solve" this problem by using a MacBook to synch from, but that was and old 2011 device that has passed away. I would really prefer to use Windows, I have tons of hard drives and SSD's already but my current M1 Air isn't exactly a storage or expansion powerhouse.

I was able to "work around" the issue by keeping my library limited to just a few artists and albums I wanted to listen to for the day/week.

Right now however, I can't even synch anymore at all and not even manually managing my music seems to work. I also really don't want to have to go to the process of creating playlists and losing my usage stats again, plus I don't even know if it's possible to transfer the library from Windows to MacOS - it seems unlikely.
