Importing Songs to Apple Music from External CD Drive on Windows

My sister has used I-Tunes on Windows 10 for years without issues. She frequently connects an external CD drive and uploads songs/ albums. I-Tunes sees everything on the drive - song titles, album titles, artwork, etc.

She took the plunge and installed Apple Music - and now when she connects her external/CD drive and tries to import, Apple Music sees the external media - but only as 'Track 1, Track 2, etc' -- she clicks to add all tracks -- and nothing happens. No imports. Nothing shows up in the recently added - nothing shows up in the music folder. But her I-tunes sees all tracks/ names/ data, etc and imports seamlessly.

Are there any config settings or extra steps that would cause Apple Music not to work - but old I-tunes versions have no issues?
