I would like to know how (or if) to connect a Mac mini (late 2009) to the current Studio Display monitor.
Can a USB-C or Thunderbolt (for monitor) to Mini Display (for Mac mini) cable can be used? If so, are there specifications for the cable....active, passive, etc.?
Optionally a Mini DVI port on the Mac mini could be used?

I'm not positive but I do not believe your Mac can support TB3 input required for the Studio Display. Your Mac's DP output is not compatible. Other users may also have some knowledge and may comment.
